Unit Conversions
Converting compound units is not always what we expect. In this video we will show you how to perform repeated small jumps and how to work from a conversion of a singular unit in order to help answer your specific questions.
Standard Form
Standard Form is used to write particularly large or small numbers in a more concise way. It will always be a number between 1 and 10, multiplied by 10 with a power. We will show you how to convert from numbers in to standard form, and how to go from standard form back in to normal numbers.
Standard Form Calculations
Now that we can convert between ordinary numbers and standard form, we need to be able to use it. This module is on how to add, subtract, multiply and divide using standard form.
Product of Prime Factors
IThis video will explain how we split a number up in to a product of it's prime factors. This basically means all of the different prime numbers that go in to a number. This topic is really important for our next worksheet so make sure you are confident with this before moving on!
HCF and LCM
Using our product of prime factor work from the last module we can find the highest common factor (HCF) and the lowest common multiple (LCM). The HCF is the biggest number that can go in to both numbers and the LCM is the smallest number that they can both go in to.
